Acquisition Expands TLC’s Contract Packaging Business and Enhances its End-to-End Supply Chain Offerings
Zeeland, MI … Officials at TLC (Total Logistic Control), a leading supply chain services company, announces the acquisition of the Athens Packaging business from Kellogg Company. Terms of the acquisition and operating contract were not disclosed.The 225,000 sq. ft. facility provides food packaging services for select Kellogg retail grocery products distributed nationwide. Specific functions include: shrink wrapping, horizontal flow wrapping, carton packing, point-of-purchase displays, club-store packs, variety-packs, bag-in-box, lunch kits, labeling and specialty projects. Additionally, this full service facility provides packaging design, packaging operations, logistics and warehousing services, along with technical and engineering support. “The industry talks about full supply chain services – we actually deliver them.” Says Bob Koerner, President and COO of TLC. “Our team continues to show leadership and competency in implementing end-to-end supply chain solutions.
