Sara Lee Food & Beverage Names TLC DC 2005 “Facility of the Year”


September 1, 2005 – Officials at TLC (Total Logistic Control), announced today that the company’s Rochelle Logistic Center II (RLC-2) Sara Lee dedicated facility has been named “Facility of the Year” by Sara Lee Food & Beverage.
Sara Lee’s coveted “Facility of the Year” award is given to the facility that performs above and beyond the expectations for a given year. Each facility is rated on performance in the categories of cost reduction, shipping accuracy, safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and sanitation. TLC’s RLC-2 facility received the highest rating of all five facilities up for the award, naming them the 2005 “Facility of the Year”.
In addition to the 2005 “Facility of the Year” award, TLC was also recognized by Sara Lee as a “Gold Standard” facility for the last three quarters. A “Gold Standard” title is given to those facilities that produce a performance rating of 85% or higher for a particular quarter.
