TLC Facility wins Gold Standard Award from Sara Lee

What is the Gold Standard Award? The Gold Standard Award is an award that Sara Lee gives out annually and is designed to recognize SUPERIOR Performance within the TLC/Sara Lee Network. Each TLC/Sara Lee Mixing Center is awarded points monthly based on the Team’s Combined, Overall Performance Each Month on the following categories:

  • Safety Overtime
  • Thru-put Inventory Accuracy
  • Sanitation Transportation
  • Cost / Case Shipping Accuracy
  • LM Productivity Fill Rate

This year the TLC Tolleson facility has won this prestigious award. They earned a cumulative 106.75 points out of a possible of 120 and beat out the three-time defending winning TLC Rochelle facility by a margin of 11.75 points! The Tolleson team was invited to a celebration hosted by Sara Lee at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, AZ  where Andi Orban, Sara Lee Sr. Regional Logistics Manager had this to say  “It was an honor to recognize and reward the Tolleson team with a nice dinner, prizes and evening of entertainment for all the hard work that goes into being “THE GOLD STANDARD FACILITY OF THE YEAR”.

TLC achieves highest score given by US environmental Protection Agency's Smartway program

The SmartWay program was started in 2004 by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and it identifies products and services that reduce transportation-related emissions. A score of 1.25 represents outstanding environmental performance.
