TLC / Kraft Project Granted
Total Logistic Control President Pete Westermann had this to say about the project, "TLC is excited about our partnership with Kraft to launch this state of the art LEED approved site. Both companies have an increasing focus on environmental stewardship and this exemplifies that." Water efficiency, materials and resources used (including recycled materials), site sustainability, and indoor environmental quality are standards rated by the US Green Building Council. LEED certified buildings are healthier work and living environments, which contributes to higher productivity and improved employee health and comfort. Green buildings not only reduce environmental impacts, but also have many economic and occupant benefits. "We are thrilled to announce our first LEED-certified distribution facility," said David Klavsons, vice president, logistics for Kraft. "This is a great accomplishment for our company and provides tremendous momentum for our future sustainability initiatives." ###
